Old habit has me reply like this though!
This is the second year they’ve done it and I think they have been a bit taken by surprise by the demand. There was a lot of good press. From four thousand who initially expressed and interest I think about a thousand of us are on board. What I can make out so far is they have a bunch of successful photographers (togs) roped in to provide commentary, blog posts and guidance. It seems to all rotate around Twitter & Flickr. I’ll have a better idea next week but I’m guessing it will work as a sort of self grading, guided, nomadic, social network. The action takes place on the best fit network, peers do most of the day to day assessment and any high activity will raise a flag to our tutors. Shining or sucking should merit attention! It really is a good fit for me, as it is all about the narrative and sharing both of which are weak points chez James. I’d love to go Creative Commons and maybe figure out what it is I’m missing in web2. Suppose I should check Google+ out, grow some circles and Tumbl this…
